Beaver Ecology - observe and study the effects and influence of beaver activity
Beginning Orienteering - find hidden markers in the woods using a compass
Birds - what tools and techniques help us discover the story of birds here and now
Block Painting - learn the ancient technique of block printing to express a natural experience
Canoeing - paddle a canoe, explor a northern lake, learn canoeing skills, and gather scientific data
Competitive Orienteering - find hidden markers in the woods with a map and compass
Earthworks - explore the relationship of art and the environment
Food and Farming - explore farming from harvest to food preparation
Forest Ecology - learn about the complexity in a forest ecosystem and how humans interact with it
Frogs and Toads - what are frog and toad adaptations and how can we use these to identify species
Geology - geological history of Minnesota; how do rocks influence our local and regional landscapes
GPS and Geocaching - combine navigational technology with exploring in nature to discover hidden clues
Indoor Rock Climbing - a challenge and growth experience to apply in everyday life
Invertebrate Life - investigate and observe the diversity of organisms and why they are important
Lake Study - examine aquatic animal life and learn to evaluate the health of Wolf Lake
Light Hike - a program blending hiking, team-building, mindfulness, and solo time
Maple Syruping - learn about the Wolf Ridge maple syruping tradition and connection with Ojibwe people
Night Hike - understand and explore how darkness communications and senses differ from light
Night Sky - explore Wolf Ridge's night sky via science and stories; connect with nature
Northwoods Mammals - use tools of science to learn about mammals in the Northwoods
Ojibwe Life - learn the lifestyle and skills of the North Shore Ojibwe people 270 years ago
Owl Pellets - learn about the adaptations of barn owls and their role in the food web
Paper Making - examine human resource use and impact through the art of papermaking
Renewable Energy - learn the value of renewable energy and how we can incorporate it into our lives
Rope Making - learn the history of rope making and experience how to tie useful knots for outdoor pursuits
Skull Interpretations - study mammal skulls to infer behaviors and adaptations
Small Mammals - learn the characteristics of small mammals in northern Minnesota and their role in the ecosystem
Stream Study - learn the biological properties of a healthy stream
Superior View Hike - explore and examine the geology, history, and meteorology of this important fresh water lake
Team Challenges - learn how to practice and apply being an effective team working through challenges
Trees and Keys - learn what tools and techniques help us discover and identify tree species
Volleyball - through the game of volleyball, students will practice cooperation and communication skills
Voyageur Life - what would it be like as a voyageur and what was their role in the local fur trade
Watershed Game - learn how human actions impact watersheds, water quality, and community
Weather - how can making weather observations now help forecast what's changing
Wetlands - learn what is unique about wetlands by collecting and analyzing data
Wild Edibles - what values do plants hold, and how to identify and harvest edible species
